About St. Thomas...
Area Code (340)
St. Thomas is the second largest of the three United States Virgin Islands. Its capital, Charlotte Amalie, is also the capital of the group.
St. Thomas was originally known as the Danish West Indies, and much of the Danish influence remains. Its harbour, once teeming with trading ships, now plays host to private yachts, cruise ships and cargo vessels.
Shopping on St. Thomas is a delight. Stores tucked into remodeled Danish warehouses line each side of picturesque Main Street. Cobblestone alleys with numerous boutiques lead down to the waterfront.
Over 30 diving areas - with some attractive wrecks and caves - are within boating distance.
